This is something that happened on the Monday this week where we do not have lots of homework to complete except an exercise to be done on Mathematics. When I arrived home, it was only 2.30p.m. That gives me lots of time to take my lunch, bathe and then finish my homework. By the time I finished my lunch which consists of corn soup for starters, then I took the main course of chicken breast with herb sauces. I would tell you that both of them rocks. Especially if u add pepper in the corn soup it adds to the spice even more. The chicken breast, I could have taken two servings if I am not full. After that were the deserts and I had Turkish imported chocolate ice cream. In my personal opinion, Turkish ice creams' are definitely on par with those famous brands like Häagen-Dazs etc. After taking my delicious lunch, I went back to my room and proceeded to bathing. After taking almost 30minutes in the bathroom, spaing and bathing, I came out. Then I decided to take a 15minutes rest by reading a Dale Brown book titled "Dreamland: Satan's Tail". I will tell u briefly about the book, it is about fighting privacy in the Gulf of Aden. It includes a cutting-edge weapons research facility in the Nevada desert named Dreamland that is home to the world's finest pilots and an elite combat unite under direct command of the US President. Dreamland is to help out the US Navy to fight piracy as it shows that 'When piracy turns to terror, the world turns to Dreamland".

As I was reading the book, my room phone rang and it seems that the front gate has intercomed me to make sure that Conrad is my friend and that he can come in. He came here to take a dip at my house's swimming pool and we played in the pool for almost 1 hour(haha! It was fun!). It was 4.30pm by the time I bathed myself again. After bathing it was already 4.45pm. I quickly took my homework out and decided to finish it by 5.10pm. I finished the homework in record timing for it was only 5pm. I realised that I would have to start eating dinner very soon so I decided to just spent the next 1 hour reading the Dale Brown book. I was so absorbed in reading it that by 6.30pm, when dinner was called for, I felt that it had only been 30minutes! For dinner, it almost the same as lunch just that the main course has been changed from chicken breast to cod fish with some fries. Dinner ended at around 7.30pm.

As i usually sleep at 11.30pm, i still have another 4 hours till I sleep and I have already finished my homework and revised for my work too. I was feeling so bored then I thought of turning on my computer and playing Maplestory. I have already introduced this game in one of my previous post. I played my Aran character there all the way and I managed to train it from level 78 till level 80. I love playing Maplestory and I would recommend everyone to go there and also it would train your patience and also test your team working spirit as Maplestory sometimes require you to work with other players to accomplish a goal. Now I would put up a video about this game.

This is something that happened last weekend too but I had no time to write both posts in one day so I decided to delay this till now and I will write it now. It was during Saturday where my parents have decided to go to Johor Bahru, Malaysia. I was still pondering over whether I should go or not. In the end, I decided not to go but then my parents told me that we would be going there at a later time. Because of that, there is a possibility that I might be able to go for I would have finished my weekend homework and would then have the free time to go out with my parents. However, the problem came when I suddenly realised that I have at least 5 more test papers given by my tuition teacher to be done by Monday. It would then mean again that I would not be able to go to Malaysia. But, I really wanted to go to Malaysia this time to go to the house we have there and also meet up with some friends there and also that you can play with fireworks there, which you cannot do it in Singapore. The tuition homework thing is the only obstacle standing in front of me that is not letting me go to Malaysia. I was very troubled about this.
I had the thought of promising myself that I will just go to Malaysia but when I come back I have to concentrate fully on my tuition homework and actually rush finish it. However, I know that it was not going to happen as I am going to break my own promise and that when I come back, i would not have the heart to do my homework anymore. When I come back, I would be listening to music and many more. I enjoy listening to music alot too. It soothes your soul and some music do have lots of meanings in them. Trying to strengthen my determination, I decided to ask my parents when they were going to come back to Singapore. They told me that if we were to reach there at dinner time, we would most probably stay overnight there and come back only on Sunday night. Hearing that, it dampens my heart as I now know definitely that I would not have enough time to do my work and so it would have forced me to stay at home and do finish my tuition homework. Moreover, my tuition teacher is a fierce one and if I did not finish my tuition homework she would definitely tell my mother and she would also scold me. In the mindst of confusion whether to neglect my tuition homework or sacrifice the trip to Malaysia to do my work.

Suddenly, I had a perfect idea that can fulfill both requirement of doing finsih my tuition homework and be able to go to Malaysia too. Wow! It was like God is helping me to get out of this problem. I decided to bring my tuition homework to the Malaysia house to do it there. Also, during my free time I would also be able to play with my neighbours and play fireworks too. It was the perfect deal! I decided to put the plan into action and do you know what? It worked! I am so happy!

We have decided to go out last Friday to our former Primary School and look for our ex teachers that have been our benefactors as they are the one who have helped us greatly in our educational journey. Our main idea was to go there and pay a visit to our former form teacher who have been the greatest support to all of us during the stressful PSLE period that had all given us the thought to quit before. We took a taxi to our Primary School which is Kong Hwa School which is now in a holding school as the main school building, which we had the fortune to take the last PSLE exam to be conducted in that building, is under construction. When we reached there it was 3pm as we had decided to take our lunch first before proceeding there. Well, frankly speaking, the holding school is a little lousy and a little cramped. But I guess that's the thing with all holding schools right?
My Former Primary School
Upon reaching there, we were met by the afternoon session students which were all coming down to have their recess. However, there is something good about this. It means that our form teacher, Mrs Fandy, would probably be in the staff room and not teaching in any of the classrooms which would have given us a hard time finding it as it was a bit messy there. We ran up the stairs and went to the staff room. We could not find our form teacher there. We decided that she might be teaching a class till 3.30pm. We decided to just go to the mini field and play a little of soccer first. At around 3.35pm we arrived back at the staff room sweaty and sticky. We were lucky that time and we found Mrs Fandy. She was surprised to find us there in the middle of a school term. We told her that it was Friday and the most relax able day in every week as we still have the weekends. She told us to study hard(like what all teachers love to tell students) as it was our future that is in concern. After talking to her about some non-school stuffs, we said goodbye to her. We then decided that it was still early as it was just 4pm. We took taxi to The Cage, Singapore's First Indoor Soccer Stadium, and we booked one of the pitch for 2 hours which would end at 6.30pm. We had 8 people with us altogether so we divided ourselves into 2 and we ended up with 4 in each group. The match that lasted for the whole 2 hours was so full of action and adrenalin. All of us were pumped with adrenalin. At 6.40pm we ended the game and we seperated our ways and went home.

It was one of the most enjoyable moment I had spent with my friends. I hope to have more of this in the future as it would be good as we will be bonding our friendship.

I would say that today is quite a uneventful day at school other than having a enjoyable Physical Education lesson today. Whew! No more 2.4km runs like what we had last week. We played soccer for this lesson and I am also elated when our PE teacher, Mr Amir, told us that we would be doing more soccer for the next few lessons. For your information for those who do not know me as much, I do love playing soccer and I do it everyday at my Primary School. I love playing the role of either striker or a attacking midfielder as I do not really know how to defend as I am afraid of injuring the person I am tackling. Let me tell you more about my PE lesson today and let me continue to tell you how proud I am about the team that Mr Amir randomly picked into 6 groups.
Cool Soccer Ball
My teammates are Luqman, David, Hsiang Wei, Liang Yi and Lyndon. Let me give you a quick run down on their respective abilities on the football field. Luqman is a very skillful soccer player with great dribbling and shooting skills and can play a very good striker or midfielder and is a star player in the team. Though he is taking floorball as his CCA, he is just as good in soccer and is a team player. Next we have David who do not have any particular strong positions on the field. He can be a average defender and also a goalkeeper though he prefer being a goalkeeper. Next up we have Hsiang Wei, who have a strong point and that is striking. Though i have to say that the next person that i am going to introduce, Lyndon, is definitely a better striker and is counted as one of the star player in the team. I feel very fortunate to be able to have this team which I think all of them have put in one very important value in their playing style and that is teamwork. I have always believe that playing team sports, and winning it, one of the factor is for the team to stay together and cooperate and have teamwork amongst them.
I shall give you a summarize form of telling you about the two matches that we played and we did not lost one at all! First up, we are against Lokkesh's team. In Lokkesh's team, there are two very dangerous players and they are Lokkesh and Haziq. Haziq is a good goalkeeper and Lokkesh is a good striker cum midfielder. Within minutes I scored the opener goal and I was elated! At the next minute, Luqman scored a nice curve ball in. Then, the possessions seems to have slowly slip towards Lokkesh's team as most of us are tired after launching lots of attack at Lokkesh's team. Lokkesh himself scored the next minute. Finally, Lyndon put a great ball into the goal leaving Haziq the goalkeeper frozen and stunned. All of us are exhausted and Mr Amir saved us by blowing the whistle to get us to change teams. We won Lokkesh's team 3-1. Our next game which is also the last game is with Makoto's team. There are two danmgerous players in Makoto's team too and they are Makoto and Ye Ge. Makoto with his powerful dribbling and confusing footplays and Ye Ge with his merciless shooting ready to blow your heads off. For the first 3 minutes we launched attacks after attacks and we managed to put in two goals which is scored respectively by Luqman and Hsiang Wei. For the last three minutes, my team went into defensive as now the other team started to counter attack. Led by Makoto at the head of the hungry pack, they charged at us. First Makoto scored by using his confusing footplays and secondly, Ye Ge scoring from 10metres out of the goal post gave a powerful kick and we could not have possibly stopped a ball travelling at super high speed. We drew with Makoto's team 2-2.
Although it was a tiring day, we had fun and it was one of the best PE lesson of this year. I hope to have it again next week!

It has been a eventful weekend for me this last weekend. It is not just coincidentally seeing your classmate, Jazzmen, at the tuition centre that you have been going for seven years and going, and him telling you that his parents heard that the tuition centre is very good and so his parents have enrolled him there. Well, one of the fact is that I really saw Jazzmen at the tuition centre and you all know what? I was shocked! However, it does not stop there, after the tuition, I ran into Caroline right outside Ion Orchard. Caroline is an old friend of mine and I had lastly remembered that she had went overseas to study as her family had migrated there. Who knows, time flies. It has been 5 years and yet I still can remember her after she has changed 'alot'(that's what she says). It seems that her father have found a better job right here in Singapore and her family have migrated back again. Wow! I will be confused if she continues to migrate. Then, we went to the Hall of Food at Ion Orchard and we decided to go there and get some snacks to eat. All should have a try of the chocolate cake at the store "Awfully Chocolate". The chocolate there is rich though its a little expensive at $6.50 per 100g so, if you buy 1kg it will cost a whopping $65! Then, I offered to fetch Caroline back to her new house taking the chance to greet her parents. Wishing them all the best, godspeed! Let me tell you guys, that is not the most unusal thing that happened last weekend.
The Super Stacked Chocolate Cake from Awfully Chocolate :D
When daddy came back home at around 6.00pm, it was earlier then usual and I thought that maybe we were going out to have dinner or some wedding banquet. Thinking that it was nothing out of normal, I went around doing my usual things of finishing my tuition homework and school homework. After those, I turned on the computer and started playing games till dinner, which would give me around 45minutes of playing time. It was the usual playing of Maplestory for 30minutes and then continue on my Black Opps for 15 to 20 minutes. However, after finishing all the gaming, I have not been called downstairs to go out to have dinner or have dinner at home. Feeling something out of line, I decided to go down and look around. It was funny, it was quiet downstairs though all the lights are on. I went to my father's study and saw no one in there, not even a fly. Its getting creepier and more suspicious. I am thinking that maybe my parents had probably went out to buy something first before we take dinner together. On second thought, I think that it's impossible since if they are buying something, the chaffeur or the maid would take care of that.
Playing Maplestory and Black Opps!
Finally I found where my parents are. They are sitting on each side of a telephone, that is located at one of the living rooms, that is put on speaker and its sounds like my elder brother, Alex is on the phone. Well, that is funny. My brother do not frequently call home after he went to Australia to study at Monash University. Then, I heard a second voice in the phone and it sound like that is my brother's girlfriend, Jessica. I sat cross legged infront of the telephone quietly and listened to the conversation. That was when I found out that my brother was breaking the news to my parents that he has proposed to Jessica and Jessica had agreed. I thought I heard it wrongly as my brother have always said that asking him to get into a marriage is like killing him. It is very unusal for him to propose to anyone though Jessica have been his girlfriend for 3 years. Now, they are asking for my parents' blessings. Of course, my parents gave their blessings as they were overjoyed to even think. My brother and my new sister-in-law have already decided to hold their wedding during mid November. Though that would certainly take away some of my December Holidays, I am still happy for them. Well, they have my blessings too. Haha! Apparently, my brother love Jessica so much that he decided to tie the knot with her. I am still pouting because they are taking away some of my December Holidays! Never forget it!
This thing that happened will always be the most unusal thing that happened and one that I could not make sense of.

Hello! Welcome to my blog! For those of you who do not know me, I am Matthew Ong and I am 14 this year. This is my first post and also my first time blogging as I am more used to using facebook and that is because facebook in my view is more accessible and more user friendly. The only experience I have on blogging is from reading the blog that my sister blogs on. However, my teacher, Mr Hakim, told the class that blogging is more focus and more journal type. I would try to post more and make it a nicer and even cool blog. I am doing this blog for the English assignment, we are learning about journals and one type of journals is blogging. I would try to change the background into a fiery one. I hope that the blog is to your expectations and please tell me if I can improve it by leaving comments here. I hope that you would like what I have done here. The favourite thing that I like to do is most probably playing computer games e.g. MapleStory, Black Opps, C&C4. I also love listening to music and there are too much favourite songs of mine to list so I will post a music video in every post. Hope you like it. Peace for now.
